April 27, 2023 - Finger Lakes Winery Rock Stream Vineyards Cuts Tasting Fees to Help Customers Fight Inflation

To help customers fight the current inflation affecting them, Rock Stream Vineyards is implementing $2 Tastings of their award-winning wines from Monday through Thursday at their Tasting Room at 162 Fir Tree Point Rd in Rock Stream, NY.  Owner Mark Karasz states "We understand how the current inflation is affecting our customers in every aspect of their purchases, so we are offering a throwback to $2 Tastings to give a little relief to them".

Karasz, a retired chemist and Army veteran, says "My customers have told me that they've seen tasting fees double over the last several years at many wineries, and I understand why because business costs keep rising.  But here at Rock Stream Winery, we decided to give customers a little break right now.  Karasz believes that Rock Stream Vineyards now has the lowest standard tasting fees on Seneca Lake.  Customers can stop in to Rock Stream from 10 AM to 5 PM for tastings.

Rock Stream Vineyards is celebrating 18 years in business and has a lineup of 15 wines including fortified wines, crafted from their 20 acres of vineyards, with many winning awards at wine competitions.  Rock Stream also holds a distillery license and has just released a new line of liqueurs, including Blood Orange, Blue Curacao, Lemon, Tamarind, and Cream Sherry.  For more information about Rock Stream Vineyards, visit http://www.rockstreamvineyards.com or call 607-243-5395.

April 20, 2023 - Rock Stream Vineyards Releases 5 New Liqueurs

Rock Stream has just released a new line of delicious sweet liqueurs.  Mark Karasz, owner, winemaker and distiller at Rock Stream Vineyards and a retired chemist in the U.S. Army, has crafted 5 new liqueurs that tantalize the taste buds.  Made from grape brandy (distilled wine) and natural flavorings, these liqueurs are 25% alcohol and silky smooth on the finish.

Blood Orange Liqueur

This delicate, sweet liqueur is made with natural blood orange flavors.  Its beautiful dark orange color and distinct citrus notes make it a great sipper, martini or dessert ingredient.  Our first and best selling liqueur.

Blue Curaçao Liqueur

Named after the Caribbean island of Curaçao, this pot-distilled liqueur is made from dried Laraha orange peels sometimes known as Laraha fruit.  Enjoy it straight or in cocktails like a Blue Lagoon or a Blue Hawaiian.

Lemon Liqueur

The balance of tart citrus acidity and spirituous spice with rich velvety sugar become a taste sensation, especially when served ice-cold.

Tamarind Liqueur

The first thing that will capture your senses when trying our Tamarind liqueur is the sweet smell.  As if the nose is not delicious enough, the taste will melt your heart.  Perfect on its own or as a base in cocktails.

Cream Sherry Liqueur

A full-bodied luscious sweet liqueur with butterscotch, caramel and pecan aromas leading to hints of hazelnut & almond.  It's deep brown color and natural flavors are reminiscent of the finest cream sherry wines.

April 24, 2021 - Rock Stream Distillery Releases New Maple Bacon Brandy

Rock Stream Vineyards in Rock Stream, New York has released a new Maple Bacon Brandy, made from grape brandy slow-distilled in their classic copper still from Portugal. This unique 30% alcohol liqueur boasts hints of mocha and vanilla, as well as savory maple bacon flavors. It’s pairs perfectly with savory sauces and desserts. It can also be served as an aperitif or added to recipes that call for maple syrup, and some customers pour it over their pancakes.  Stop in and try a tasting of this new brandy.

Rock Stream Vineyards is an estate winery owned and operated by Dr. Mark Karasz in the Finger Lakes region of New York state.  Mark is a West Point graduate and a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with a PhD in chemistry.  A three-year tour in Italy inspired him to make wine and Grappa, a traditional Italian distilled spirit made from grape skins.  After returning from Italy, he founded Rock Stream Vineyards and began growing his own grapes and making wine, brandy, Grappa and ports.

The tasting room on Route 14 and Fir Tree Point Road has been open since July 2005 and is now Seneca Lake’s only winery that is also a licensed Grappa and Grape Brandy distillery.  The vineyard has 30 acres of vines producing over 150 tons of grapes annually to make premium, hand-crafted wines.  Rock Stream also features three beers made at Cortland Beer Company.  Come by and visit all year round and enjoy "The Wine of Your Life.”
